Collette Dinnigan, a luminary in fashion design renowned for her exquisite work in textile design, lace, and embroidery, has long been celebrated by the Australian Museum of Design (AMoD). We are thrilled to have Collette as a distinguished artist within our collection, a collaboration that has already flourished through shared creative endeavours. Notably, AMoD had the privilege of using Collette’s ‘Iris’ design as part of the Australian Museum of Design projection on Customs House as part of Vivid Sydney 2023, mesmerizing over 3.5 million viewers worldwide with its beauty and intricacy.

Beyond her fashion legacy, Dinnigan has successfully ventured into interior design, leaving a distinctive stamp on projects such as Bannisters Resort in Mollymook, NSW, and the Golf House residential apartments in Sydney. These projects highlight her skill for merging aesthetic appeal with functionality, creating spaces that resonate with her signature style of elegance and detailed craftsmanship.

Her diversified portfolio now also includes designs for homewares, napery, silk scarves, wallpaper, and packaging, demonstrating her capacity to elevate everyday items into objects of beauty and interest.
